The Mini Player lets you listen to audio tracks without fully opening the file, so you can review and manage your work while navigating other parts of Pibox.

How to play in the Mini Player

You can start playback directly from multiple locations:

  • In Chat: Hover your cursor over the track, and the Play button will appear. Click it to start playback in the Mini Player.

  • In Files, Links, and File Manager: Hover over the track icon so it changes to the Play button. Click to begin playback in the Mini Player.

  • When exiting the track: If a track is playing, the Mini Player will appear automatically when you close the audio file.

Mini Player features

Once a track is playing, the Mini Player offers:

  • Play/Pause controls.

  • Jump to file: Click the track name to open the file. Playback will resume at the exact spot you left off, making it easier to make edits.

  • Volume control: Synced with the volume settings in the full audio player.

You can use the Mini Player in Chat, Files, File Manager, Profile Settings, or even while switching between projects.

Automatic audio save

Your playback position is saved automatically when you close the file.

  • Reopen the track and continue exactly where you left off.

  • The Mini Player in the app header also resumes from your last saved position.

This ensures you can pick up your review seamlessly, even if you switch projects or step away from your work.

Real-time version comparison

When switching between different file versions, the Mini Player syncs playback position:

  • If you’re at 01:15 in Version 2 and switch to Version 1, it will also start at 01:15.

  • If playback is active, it continues automatically on the new version, which is perfect for quick A/B comparisons.

This streamlined design lets you review, compare, and navigate without losing your place - making audio review faster and more efficient.

With the Mini Player, you can stay focused on your review, compare versions in real time, and navigate your projects without interruptions.
