The playlist page allows admins and members to customize columns within a playlist, providing a more organized and relevant view for all users. This feature is similar to the file manager, enabling changes that apply globally to everyone with access. Guests, however, can only view columns and do not have customization rights.
Customizing your playlist is straightforward and ensures that important information is visible to everyone in your team or project. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.
How to сustomize playlist сolumns:
Accessing the сolumns editor
To begin customization, click the Columns button located in the top-right corner of the playlist page;
Selecting metadata fields
Similar to the file manager, you can add, remove, or rearrange metadata fields to display only the information you need. Private fields will remain hidden for guests and members unless specifically enabled by admins or owners;
Global updates for all users
Any changes made to the columns will automatically update for all users. For instance, if an admin adds a metadata field, it will be visible to all users with access to the playlist.
💡 Note: Customization rights vary based on user roles:
Admins and Owners: Full access to modify and view all columns, including private fields
Members: Can view and modify columns but do not have access to private fields
Guests: Limited to viewing pre-configured columns without modification rights
