What is Pibox AI Tagging?

Pibox AI uses artificial intelligence to analyze audio files and automatically determine their characteristics, such as:

  • Key (e.g., D minor ⧉)

  • BPM (Beats Per Minute) (e.g., 120 BPM ⧉)

  • Genres (e.g., Jazz, Blues ⧉)

  • Moods (e.g., Energetic, Melancholic ⧉)

  • Instruments (e.g., Piano, Guitar ⧉)

Each value includes a copy button (⧉) that allows users to quickly copy the corresponding data for further use.

How does Pibox AI Tagging work?

Now, when uploading audio files to Pibox, users can run an AI-powered track analysis to generate metadata. This information is available under the File Info tab in the AI Tagging section, located just below the basic file metadata.

To run AI Tagging for a track:

  1. Select the file you want to analyze.

  2. Click the AI button above the list of files in the active actions on the files.

  3. Choose Run AI Tagging from the available options.

  4. The selected track will be processed and AI tags will be applied to it. Note that this process may take half an hour to an hour.

To open and view the result of AI Tagging, click on the “i” button located to the right of the desired track and the file metadata will open, where you need to go to the File info tab.

For a deeper understanding of how metadata works in Pibox, refer to our Metadata Article.

Note: Access to AI analysis of tracks is provided to a limited number of users. If you do not have this feature, please contact Pibox support for more information.

Why is this useful?

  • Quickly determine track parameters without the need for third-party software.

  • Simplify the search for desired music through detailed tags.

  • Enhance team collaboration, as all project participants can view detailed track data in one place.

  • Easily copy and paste key metadata values using the built-in copy button.
