The link expiration feature lets you control how long your shared file link remains active. Once the expiration date passes, the link automatically becomes inactive and cannot be opened until you update its settings.
Note: The link expiration feature is available in the Team plan.
How to set an expiration date
Open the Share link settings for your file.
Next to Expiration, click Never.
Choose the duration you want the link to stay active (e.g., 1 day, 1 week, or a custom date).
Selecting Never keeps the link active indefinitely.
The chosen expiration period will now appear under the link settings.
How to edit or remove an expiration date
In the same settings window, click the Expiration field again.
Choose a new date or select Never to remove the expiration.

What happens when a link expires?
Once a link has expired:
The expiration time appears in red text under the link settings.
Anyone trying to open the link will see a message: “This link is expired”.
To make the link active again, simply open the Expiration settings and remove or change the expiration date.
